Welcome
The Anchor has been at the heart of Bookham since the 17th century. We're a proper free house: real ales on the bar, a fire in the winter, a garden full of parasols in the summer, and a kitchen doing something you won't find in any other village pub around here.
Alongside the pub classics you'd hope for, our kitchen serves authentic Japanese and Korean food. Fish and chips or katsu curry. Sunday roast or Korean fried chicken. You choose.
Dogs welcome, families welcome, muddy boots welcome.

Our garden is the best spot in Bookham when the sun's out. Parasols, picnic benches, cold pints and the full menu served outside. Book an outside table and make an afternoon of it.

Kind Words
What a great find! Staff were very welcoming. The Sunday roast was excellent: good quality ingredients and beautifully cooked. A good-sized portion, definitely value for money. Locals just kept coming in, so a good atmosphere with banter. Nice sunny garden at the front of the pub. Would highly recommend.

Nice, homely pub. Best food I've had from a pub in a long time. We had a toddler with us who was also made very welcome by staff and by customers.
